Seattle's Brit Hansen has been an integral figure within the local electronic music community for the past two decades. She started making music in high school alongside Dave Pezzner as beloved duo Jacob London, together blazing a trail on funky underground dancefloors worldwide with a steady string of hotly-tipped 12” tech-house releases throughout the 2000s. While Jacob London continue to rock dancefloors today, Brit has also shifted focus over the past five years to her evolving solo works as Hanssen, steering away from club-centric creations in favor of cinematic, dreamy, synth-heavy leftfield soundscapes. Both as a producer and a DJ, Brit is inspired to take listeners on transportive sonic journeys full of weird, exciting, and unpredictable sounds.
