Kelley Stoltz has been a San Francisco resident since 1996. A record collector and music head since he was a kid, he is also a home recording devotee who has released 18 albums since 1999. He has been signed to record labels Sub Pop, Jack White’s Third Man Records, and John Dwyer’s Castleface. He has performed concerts around the world with his band and as a member of Echo & the Bunnymen, and as a touring musician with Robyn Hitchcock and Rodriguez. His home recording studio Electric Duck, has been a go-to spot for many Bay Area and beyond artists including The Ohsees, Sonny & the Sunsets, Sopwith Camel, The Mantles, The Fresh & Onlys, and many more. As a record clerk for 19 years at SF’s famed mom-and-pop vinyl-only shop, Grooves, Kelley has gained a lot of knowledge and joy from a wide variety of music which he intends to share on KEXP. His long-time participation and mentorship in the Bay Area music scene will offer listeners insight into the artists, past and present who he knows, has worked with, has learned from and admires.
