Rachel is a New York Times published writer and PBS published film director who comes to KEXP by way of Montana, Wyoming, and originally Austin, Texas. Her love of radio and live music can be directly traced to her parents taking her to Austin City Limits shows by artists they found on 90.5 KUT. With a degree in Journalism and a master’s in Filmmaking, Rachel finally figured out that the best medium for the stories she wants to tell is radio. Before coming to Seattle, she had radio shows at 89.1 KHOL in Jackson, Wyoming and 89.9 KBGA in Missoula, Montana.
Not to be too cheesy, but Rachel believes telling our stories is our best shot at changing the world. And that it’s always way easier to reel things in than to make them weirder… so get weird.
