As Lord Huron, singer-songwriter Ben Schneider has always been influenced by the out-of-doors. Whether his inspiration comes from the rugged woods and Great Lakes of his origin state of Michigan or the dusty Mojave Desert closer to his adopted LA home, themes of exploration and adventure pervade his lush compositions of atmospheric Americana and twangy pop songs. After releasing two early jaw dropping EPs, Into the Sun and Mighty EP (check out our Song of the Day podcast featuring "The Stranger"), Lord Huron made his full-length debut with Lonesome Dreams, such a solid album that it landed on a spot on Morning Show host John Richards' Top Ten of 2012 list. Touring the new album, Ben Schneider and the fully formed Lord Huron stopped by KEXP in late October to perform the title track and three other songs form Lonesome Dreams. Check out the videos here:
