Who would be in your dream band? If you could put together some of your favorite musicians into a fantasy project, you might very well have come up with Divine Fits. Britt Daniel of Spoon and Dan Boeckner of Handsome Furs and Wolf Parade have teamed up up with powerhouse drummer Sam Brown of New Bomb Turks to create some sharply crafted ‘80s-influenced rock in this new, don't call it a "supergroup", group. While the title of their debut, A Thing Called Divine Fits, might seem incidental, their tautly energetic songs are solid and satisfying... to fans of both their bands and of concise, sharply crafted pop-rock in general. Following their late-summer appearance at the Crocodile in Seattle, Daniel, Boeckner, and Brown, accompanied by touring keyboardist Alex Fischel, stopped by the KEXP studio to drop a "cherry bomb"... I mean, to do some "damage"... no, actually, to prove their "love is real". Watch the videos from their session now:
