On January 18, Seattle lost one of its valued treasures: Easy Street Records Queen Anne. Although vinyl sales continued to increase, they couldn't forestall rising rents, and so one of the city's small handful of excellent record stores closed its doors. Since the Queen Anne location was more than just a store but also a place to see live music (Elvis Costello was the first live performer there and Yo La Tengo the last), many music fans and store patrons visited the store on its last day to say goodbye and to take advantage of some great deals too! Local filmmakers Cory Kelley, Jason Neuerburg and Max McSimov shot and edited this time-lapse video on the final hours of the store:
