Now in its 15th year, Oregon music festival Pickathon has announced its lineup, dates and location for 2013 -- and it's one of their best lineups yet! On August 2-4 at the Pendarvis Farm in Happy Valley, OR, the festival will host Feist, Andrew Bird, Divine Fits, The Devil Makes Three, Sharon Van Etten, Kurt Vile & The Violators, Sallie Ford & The Sound Outside, Howe Gelb, Vieux Farka Toure, Foxygen, Shabazz Palaces, Parquet Courts, JD McPherson, Breathe Owl Breath, and even more incredible bands. The farm is a quick fifteen minutes outside of Portland, and the festival will feature six totally unique performance venues that are, in the words of the organizers, "designed to create juxtaposing alternate realities". And if all of that is not enough to convince you -- the good folks putting this thing together have made Pickathon '13 the only music festival to eliminate the use of plastic and drastically minimize single-use items.
