In addition to producing about three months of shows and two new songs, The Postal Service reunion can now add a video to the list of things its produced. The AB/CD/CD-directed clip for the new song "A Tattered Line of String" finds a man fighting off a laundry machine that's trying to suck him in. So, in other words, they're still making quirky videos to go with their mostly melancholy music. (It's like ten years never went by!) Watch the clip below and if you haven't gotten a chance to see them on the farewell jaunt, there are still some left for their July 18th show here.

This April, Savages played Neumos, and by our own account, it was pretty great. For those that missed the UK quartet's debut Seattle appearance, redemption has arrived. The band will return to Neumos on September 23rd as part of a fall headlining tour the band is undertaking for its debut, Silence Yourself. Get info and tickets for that 21+ show here.

Deer Tick spent most of last year working on the followup to 2011's Divine Providence, and today, they've released the first taste from their forthcoming album, Negativity. Entitled "The Rock", the bluesy, midtempo tread doesn't stray too far from the Deer Tick sound, but it does have horns and a howling performance from singer John McCauley, and feels like the product of a more mature band than the one that wrote "Let's All Go To The Bar". Check it out at Consequence of Sound ahead of Negativity's release on September 24th through Partisan Records.

Phosphorescent's Matthew Houck took a two year break in between the tours behind 2010's Here's To Taking It Easy and 2013's great Muchacho, so to make up for that last time, he and the rest of the Brooklyn-based band have announced plans for another massive fall tour, which includes stops at the Neptune and Portland's Hawthorne Theatre on September 25th and 26th, respectively. While he's in the Northeast, he'll also open two dates for Robert Plant, which, when you think about it, is actually a pretty good fit. Get info and tickets about the Neptune show here.

When looking at treatments for their video for "You & I", Local Natives must have been looking for the most heartbreaking idea of all time to go with their melancholy song, because the video for the Hummingbird standout features the lonely depiction of the last dog on earth. Throughout the video, the song soundtracks the dog entering critical condition, and how his owner deals with the loss of man's (final) best friend, and without spoiling anything, there is a very happy ending.
