Dr.Dog has a charming lyric video for "Broken Heart" from their upcoming album B Room. Composed of vintage footage of an amusement park, the happiness of the park seems bittersweet contrasted with the tracks title - which is fitting considering the song feels upbeat, but the lyrics tell a different story. The Replacements played their first reunion show last night in Toronto, and thank god for technology because you can now watch video or stream the audio from the performance. Proving they haven't forgotten a beat, Paul Westerburg had this to say about their 25 year hiatus, "Sorry it’s taken us so long. Before embarking on their tour with Phoenix, LA sister group Haim decided to ask the trio for some pointers on their clearly very good French language skills. Watch while they learn how to say everything from "Are there showers in this venue?" to "Where is my damn croissant?" Seems like tour will be as endlessly entertaining as this video proved to be. Nine Inch Nails debuted Hesitation Marks opener "The Eater of Dreams" along with a preview of the album artwork. Brief but rather scary, the track starts simply and ends with a sharp distorted vocal that makes the song seem a bit scary. Not to mention the artwork included an exploding head, uncomfortable close-ups, and blood red paint over obscured writing. [Stereogum]

So lots of things happened at the VMAs, including Macklemore and Ryan Lewis winning both the Best Hip-Hop Video for "Can't Hold Us" and Best Video With a Social Message for "Same Love", but there are also these gems of interviews that Grimes did (sort of). One is where she interviews everyone from Riff Raff to 30 Seconds From Mars to Snooki, the other is where she and Kathleen Hanna get to talk almost unimpeded about feminism. In the first series she doesn't say that much, which seems appropriate coming from a experimental pop icon who is probably more comfortable being given space to talk than trying to find out where Riff Raff's shoes came from.
