  • As we're sure everyone in Seattle knows by now, the Seattle Seahawks are heading to the Super Bowl! Yesterday's halftime show was provided by none other than Macklemore x Ryan Lewis, and while we haven't been able to locate video of the performance (aside from shaky fan-made smartphone videos), you can watch a chat with the Mack and KING 5's Chris Egan after the Seahawks beat the 49ers to win the NFC Championship. [King 5 News]

  • At least no fans got hurt last night, not like during the Auckland installment of the Big Day Out Festival, where a fan claims things got rough during a game of pick-up basketball that included Arcade Fire's Win Butler and Pearl Jam's Jeff Ament. Music fan Sherif Hassan told Triple J Radio, "[Jeff Ament's] aggressive, I'll tell you that much. He broke my nose." It all ended well though, with Hassan being invited to hangout backstage during the festival. "Eddie Vedder gave me a shout out." [Pitchfork]

  • Next month brings a brand-new album from Beck titled Morning Phase, his first full-length studio album since 2008's Modern Guilt. You can stream the beautiful track "Blue Moon" below before its release on February 25th. [Stereogum]

  • Damon Albarn also has a new full-length coming out on April 28th, Everyday Robots, his solo debut, if you don't count that double-EP Democrazy that came out in 2003. Check out the video for the title track below: [Stereogum]

  • NPR has a first listen for the sophomore release from charming Brooklyn trio Hospitality, Trouble, out January 28th via Merge Records. They'll be live on KEXP on Saturday, February 8th, and playing Barboza later that night. [NPR]

  • Roxy Music frontman Bryan Ferry has announced a west coast mini-tour around his Coachella dates, including an April 4th stop at McCaw Hall in Seattle. (Be sure to follow KEXP on Twitter and Facebook for a pre-sale code, to be announced!) According to a press release, Ferry will perform "an incredible set list of hits, rarities and covering 40 years of career highlights." [Exclaim]
