  • Last night's big winners of the 56th Grammy Awards were duos Daft Punk and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, each taking home four awards (the most Grammys ever won by a Seattle act). One of those wins for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis was for Best Rap Album, and the local rapper took to his Instagram account to share a text message he sent to fellow nominee, Kendrick Lamar, who he believed should have won.   • Cleveland band Cloud Nothings have shared a track from their forthcoming album Here and Nowhere Else, out April 1st on Carpark/Mom + Pop Records. In a press release, frontman Dylan Baldi shared, "I was feeling pretty good about everything so I just made stuff that made me happy. I had nothing to be angry about really so the approach was more positive and less 'fuck everything.'" [Pitchfork]

  • Local label Sub Pop will be releasing a new album from '90s gentlemen The Afghan Whigs on April 15th titled Do to the Beast. It'll be the band's first album since 1998's full-length 1965. The band will also perform at this year's Coachella Music Festival. [Stereogum]

  • If your grandparents have been asking you about that hot, new pop combo The National, it's because the Brooklyn band were featured on "CBS This Morning" over the weekend, a favorite news show of many senior citizen. Watch their performance and interview below. [Pitchfork]

  • During the Grammys, a commercial for SONOS wireless speakers aired featuring a modernized version of the Bob Marley classic "I Shot the Sheriff." Listen to the full version by Sam Spiegel, aka N.A.S.A., and Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs below. [Consequence of Sound]

  • Sibling band Pontiak have a new album coming out tomorrow on Thrill Jockey Records titled INNOCENCE, and you can watch a video for the track "Wildfires" below. The trio will be live on KEXP on Sunday, February 16th at 1:00 PM PT, and playing the Highline later that night. [Stereogum]
