  • Every once in a while, James Blake will use his weekly BBC Radio 1 DJ residency to debut a new song. Yesterday he unveiled his track "Building It Still," a synth heavy number that's reminiscent of Blake's older material. It's just a little tease of what he's been working on with Justin Vernon and Kanye West for his new album. [Stereogum]

  • Foo Fighters have shared another new track from their upcoming album Sonic Highways (out November 10). "Something From Nothing" was recorded in Chicago and will be featured on their HBO series Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways which premieres tonight. [Pitchfork]

  • Last night, The New Pornographers made a fun, musical appearance on Conan. The Canadian indie rockers delivered an energetic performance of the Brill Bruisers track "Dancehall Domine." [Pitchfork]

  • There hasn't been much new material from Beach House in the last two years, but they popped back up on the radar when they performed a brand new song during a live show in Montreal. Thanks to some awesome fan footage you can hear the untitled track in all its glory. [CoS]
