Formed in 2011 in an uncannily-named place called Hollywood, Florida, it would be impossible for the bright sunshine of their locale not to radiate into their retro-tinged songs. A shared love of surf-rock brought singer/guitarist Kimmy Drake and drummer Skyler Black together, and their debut single caught the attention of legendary Detroit producer Jim Diamond, known for his work with The White Stripes. Diamond brought his gritty garage-rock experience behind the board on their sophomore release, Native Echoes, and the result is a '60s girl-group-sound that combines the Dum Dum Girls with The Dirtbombs.
