  • In KEXP's ongoing bid to make The War on Drugs "The Most Popular Band in the World," we present to you the music video for the track "Red Eyes," which features the Philadelphia boys as hosts of a kooky talent competition. Their album, Lost in the Dream, comes out March 18th on Secretly Canadian, and they'll be LIVE on KEXP Friday, March 28th at 1:00 PM. [Stereogum]

  • We've got a new single from Parquet Courts to share — but there's a catch! There's no audio nor video to stream, but instead, the band has shared the sheet music for their Record Store Day single "Sunbathing Animals." So, if you can't wait 'til Saturday, April 19th, play it yourself! [Pitchfork]

  • Can't read sheet music? UK electropop duo Fujiya & Miyagi make it easy for you, and you can stream their new single "Flaws" below. Its the opening track from their forthcoming release, Artificial Sweeteners, due out May 6 from Yep Roc. [Under the Radar]

  • Informally voted "Most Crushworthy Band" by KEXP listeners during our Spring Fundraising Drive, NYC duo Phantogram performed on Late Show with David Letterman last night, which you can watch below. (Keep track of all the late night musical highlights with KEXP's TV Eye.) Check out an in-depth review of their new album Voices here on the KEXP Blog. [Consequence of Sound]

  • Not only do Mudhoney fans get the limited-edition Mudhoney On Top: KEXP Presents Mudhoney Live on Top of the Space Needle LP this spring, but on March 21st, the biography Mudhoney: The Sound and the Fury From Seattle hits shelves via Voyageur. Penned by UK music journalist Keith Cameron, the book provides an in-depth look at not only the band, but the Seattle music scene at the time. You can read an exclusive excerpt at Spin.com. [Spin]

  • And, on the topic of grunge-era Seattle, that Craigslist ad we reported on this past Monday has (not surprisingly) proved to be false. A "former roommate" is not selling Kurt Cobain's old possessions; instead, Sub Pop Records receptionist Derek Erdman was killing time on the job. It's still a really sweet phone, though. [Spin]
