It was the perfect way to celebrate Donor Appreciation Night: last Friday, August 1st, the 2014 Concerts at the Mural series kicked off in a BIG way, with record-breaking attendance at the Seattle Center's Mural Amphitheatre lawn. Donors were invited to wear their KEXP t-shirts, and it was absolutely overwhelming to look out into the audience and see a sea of our tees. It's people like YOU who make nights like that possible!
As if the KEXP support wasn't overwhelming enough, the love that Charles Bradley brought on stage with his band The Extraordinaires was, indeed, extraordinary! Three costume changes, countless hugs, and one very special performer equaled an unforgettable evening under the Space Needle. Seattle's own Kithkin brought the crowd to their feet with their incredible, action-packed performance, and Anacortes-cuties Cumulus lured the city to the stage with their sweet indiepop sounds.
Relive the magic through our photo roundup below, and don't miss out on this Friday's line-up! Yppah, Katie Kate, and IG88 will make it a Decibel Festival night to remember.
