Get psyched for 2015 KEXP's Audioasis presents a psychedelic Community Partnership Concert on Saturday, January 10th, featuring local acts Black Whales, Old Light and Neighbors. Join us at the Sunset for this 21 and over show, filled with mind altering pop, brutal rock and all round groovy tunes, to benefit KEXP's featured Non-Profit of the Month, Seattle Against Slavery.

Founded in 2009, Seattle Against Slavery (SAS) is a grassroots coalition advocating for state laws that better protect trafficking victims, provide adequate services for survivors, prosecute traffickers and buyers, and prevent human trafficking and slavery.

Here are five things you can do right now to get involved with Seattle Against Slavery:

  1. Don’t buy sex – prostitution is often human trafficking. It’s just that simple.
  2. Learn the signs of human trafficking and report possible trafficking to 888-3737-888.
  3. Invite SAS to come speak about trafficking at your school, business, or faith organization.
  4. Hear from a trafficking expert at a monthly Seattle Against Slavery event.
  5. Buy fair trade products like chocolate, coffee, and produce wherever they are sold.

"It’s awesome that KEXP sees itself as part of the community. KEXP listeners are people out in the world making it a better place, and the community partnership program is a perfect example of that. We stream KEXP at our office all the time, so it’s exciting to be part of this community of incredible music and people making a difference in Seattle." – Robert Beiser, Executive Director of Seattle Against Slavery

Doors open at 9:00 PM, and show at 10:00 PM at the Sunset, Ballard. Tickets cost $7 at the door, or you can purchase advance tickets online.
