A far cry from the "bedroom setup" they used to record their debut album, which took the world by storm in 2011, Django Django recently released the studio recorded Born Under Saturn, with a more confident and much bigger sound. The London four-piece didn't let fame or external pressures influence the new material, and each member actively collaborated in the creative process, making the new album more versatile, while maintaining their signature mix of pop and psych-rock sounds, surf guitar, and sunny harmonies. Django Django's songs are bold and bright, even as they spin slightly ominous lyrical stories: "Witness omens rising / As the skies begins to glow / Trace the fault lines forming / Watching gaps begin to grow." The group has never talked about what their songs mean or what kind of band they want to be, but one thing is certain: they are keen to get back into the studio to start working on an even more evolved third album. In the meantime, Django Django rocked the KEXP studio during their Born Under Saturn tour. Get ready to groove.
