  • My Morning Jacket return with their seventh studio album, The Waterfall, on May 4th via ATO Records/Capitol Records. It'll be the band's first release since 2011’s Circuital, and the first of two new albums planned for this year. Jim James and friends have shared a video trailer for the album, featuring behind-the-scenes studio footage from Stinson Beach, California, and peeks at tracks from the new album. Check it out below.   • Another long-awaited new album is the sophomore full-length from Alabama Shakes, and that release, titled Sound & Color, hits stores on April 21st on ATO Records. Today, the Southern soul band share the track "Future People." Stream the fabulously funky sound below. [Consequence of Sound]

  • German composer Nils Frahm shares a new track today: the solo piano piece, "Wall," is his first new music since 2013's Spaces. In a press release, Frahm says he wrote it for International Piano Day, which falls on March 29th. "Why does the world need a Piano Day? For many reasons. But mostly, because it doesn't hurt to celebrate the piano and everything around it: performers, composers, piano builders, tuners, movers and most important, the listener." [Under the Radar]

  • Brooklyn producer Boots brought his beats and a mad light show to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night.
