Sharlese's pick for today is "Photoplay" by Wishyunu from their 2015 self-released Photoplay 7" out May 4th. Says Sharlese...

I found this band through some more online messing around. I found their EP Futuray right before I was about to host Audioasis and when that happens, it makes me crazy because I didn’t have access to play the music on the show at the time — I had to wait a week until I could get it from their Bandcamp. They have a dreamy, by-the-sea vibe that is pretty sexy and this song “Photoplay” is their most recent work. They sound great and I hope they put out a full-length sometime in the future.

You can help this Portland duo celebrate the release of the "Photoplay" single on Sunday, May 3rd at Mississippi Studios with Cambrian Explosion and Jackson Boone (who just happened to be Sharlese's Tuesday Song of the Day pick). They'll be heading into the studio to finish their debut LP, Ghost Ambition, following a short West Coast tour in May.
