The Hood-to-Hood artist with the shortest commute today was West Seattle's own Michael Lerner, aka Telekinesis. For his stripped-down set from the Junction, Lerner stepped on stage with a guitar and an old-school four track machine, and charmed his neighbors with a short n' sweet set. The set kicked off with a cover of Wire's "Outdoor Miner," before treating us to his own tracks like "Ghosts & Creatures" and the always-popular "Tokyo." Word has it Lerner is currently working on a follow-up to 2013's Dormarion, so maybe if West Seattle wins again at the KEXP Hood-to-Hood challenge, we'll be lucky enough to have him back.
