Family band - it's a term that can evoke either wholesome 70's stereotypes or embittered alt rock rivalries, but London siblings Kitty, Daisy & Lewis seem from a time further removed. Their sound and style recall those carnivalesque clans of dustbowl days with alluringly alliterative names that sought their fortune from town to town. But no "Dashing Durhams" these - Kitty, Daisy and Lewis drop any obvious association with their dad, mastering engineer Graeme Durham, and their mom, former drummer of The Raincoats, Ingrid Weiss, and let their music stand for itself. She's a little bit R&B, she's a little bit rockabilly, and he's a little bit old time rock 'n' roll. Together, Kitty, Daisy and Lewis put a fresh young face on classic sounds. Watch as they step into The Roadhouse with Greg Vandy on KEXP.
