  • Texas-based artist Israel Nash returns this fall with his fourth album of ‘70s-inspired, psych-tinged folk-rock titled Israel Nash’s Silver Season. Get a first listen with the single "Strangers" below. The album was recorded in Nash's recently-built Plum Creek Sound studios.   • Slowcore pioneers Low prepare to release their eleventh studio album, Ones and Sixes, on September 11th via Sub Pop. Get a sneak peek with the smooth "yacht-rock-ish" single "What Part of Me" below, featuring founding members Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker delivering some Captain & Tenille-style vibes. Low stop by Seattle on Saturday, November 21st at The Crocodile, and will hopefully stop by the KEXP stations for an in-studio. [Under the Radar]

  • Non-profit label Rock The Cause Records will pay tribute to '60s folk artist Donovan with the covers album Gazing with Tranquility: A Tribute to Donovan. Plenty of KEXP faves are on the track list including Sharon Van Etten, Ivan & Alyosha, The Flaming Lips, and Hamilton Leithauser. Stream his take on the 1969 song "To Susan On The West Coast Waiting" below. Proceeds from the album will go to benefit Huntington’s Hope, a charity that provides college funds for children affected by Huntington’s disease. Gazing With Tranquility hits stores on October 16th.
