NE-HI first got together in order to score a film for a mutual friend, but the sparkling guitars, spritely bass, and crashing drums from their single, Drag, are more reminiscent of work from a great new indie-pop act than anything by Hanz Zimmer. That’s because, recognizing true chemistry, the foursome decided to join forces officially as a band shortly after working on the film together. Now over a year since releasing "Drag", the single has helped propel the jangly rock group to the forefront of Chicago’s ever-exciting scene. And with tight, addictive riffs and insanely catchy, staccato-punctuated vocals, neither the song nor the band’s success should come as a surprise.
NE-HI will start touring the mid-west and east coast later in September, and while there’s no signs yet of a trip out west, you can stay tuned for tour updates from the band’s website and Facebook page.
