For months now, we've been playing tracks from the new Temples album and just saying "out next year." Now, we have an actual date to share! The LP Volcano will be out March 3rd, 2017 via Fat Possum, their first new album since their 2014 debut, Sun Structures. Via a press release, frontman James Bagshaw says, "If there's a sense of scale. It was really just a result of implementing a load of things that we didn't know about the first time around. We didn't even have a subwoofer to listen back to things that we did on Sun Structures, so there was nothing below 50Hz on that record. We didn't even know those frequencies were there!" Northern neighbors Japandroids have a new album coming out early next year, too. Near to the Wild Heart of Life will hit stores via ANTI- Records. Check out a 37-second trailer below. The Canadian duo premiered a bunch of new songs in Vancouver earlier this month. [Consequence of Sound]
