  • For his latest film, A Bigger Splash, director Luca Guadagnino (I Am Love) reached out to guitar-dynamo St. Vincent (a.k.a. Annie Clark) to cover The Rolling Stones 1980 single "Emotional Rescue." Listen below. Clark said in an e-newsletter, "I saw an 11 AM showing of I Am Love at the sunshine cinema on Houston street. I walked out of the theater in a daze, wandered into a nearby church, found the last pew, and wept for an hour. So when Luca asked me to be involved in his latest film, i said yes a thousand times and then once more. Luca, Tilda fucking Swinton, Ralph, Matthias, Dakota -- all made a beautiful film. So proud to have worked with Sounwave(!!!) and Terrace Martin(!!!) on this Stones track. They are a dream team. Hope you enjoy. xx" A Bigger Splash hits U.S. theatres on May 13th, while the soundtrack will be released digitally on March 4th, followed by a physical release on May 13th. [Under the Radar]

  • Like many things from the '90s, the Cartoon Network's feminist manifesto The Powerpuff Girls is getting a reboot, and Seattle's own Tacocat performs the new theme song! Listen below. The band also share a new track today from their forthcoming full-length Lost Time, out April 1st on Hardly Art. Check out the Erik Blood-produced single "Talk": [Stereogum]

  • The 58th Annual Grammy Awards is airing tonight, and last night, at legendary record producer Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy gala, Beck teamed up with the surviving members of Nirvana to cover David Bowie's "The Man Who Sold the World." Nirvana famously covered the single in their 1993 MTV Unplugged episode. Watch fan-shot video of the bittersweet performance below: [Consequence of Sound]

  • One last cover for the Monday News Roundup: on the other coast last night, Mac DeMarco was headlining a Planned Parenthood benefit at Brooklyn's Music Hall Of Williamsburg, where he surprised the audience with a clumsy yet charming cover of Billy Joel's 1977 saccharine single "Just the Way You Are." Perfect for Valentine's Day. Watch fan-shot footage of the performance below: [Pitchfork]
