  • The news that shoegaze legends Lush are touring again is exciting enough, and it's just gotten better as we have new music to share from the UK trio! Check out the video for "Out of Control," a single from their forthcoming EP The Blind Spot, out April 22nd on the band's own Edamame label. It'll be the band's first new release in twenty years. In a press release, bassist Phil King says, "Emma [Anderson, guitarist] has this way of writing unusual chord changes and manages to weave lovely melodies over the top, and it immediately sounds distinctive, like Lush." • Bat For Lashes (aka Natasha Khan) returns with the single, "I Do," which you can stream below. No details on a release, except the cryptic note: "Save the Date, 1st July 2016, Til death do us part." [Under the Radar]

  • Julian Casablancas has never been shy about his love for The Velvet Underground. Back in 2013, he tweeted, "Lou Reed is the reason I do everything that I do." The Strokes frontman shares a cover of their 1967 track "Run Run Run," recorded for the HBO show Vinyl. Listen below: [Consequence of Sound]

  • Seattle duo Crater release their debut full-length, Talk To Me So I Can Fall Asleep, later this month, but you can stream it now below. Ceci Gomez explains, "Kessiah [Gordon, bandmate] and I wrote Talk to Me so I Can Fall Asleep in the duplex we were both living in during the long rainy season last year. We sculpted the record from a desktop folder I call 'Black Hole' which is full of internet treasures that include arcane samples, random torrents, and an assortment of GIFS. Out of the chaos that is the 'Black Hole' surfaced our first record." Talk To Me So I Can Fall Asleep hits stores on February 26th via Help Yourself Records, and you can hear an exclusive in-studio session from the band tomorrow, Saturday, February 20th, on Audioasis on KEXP!
