  • Seattle's own Tacocat pay tribute to a '90s feminist icon with "Dana Katherine Scully," a track out today in both video form and on their latest full-length Lost Time. In an interview with Rookie, frontwoman Emily Nokes explains, "I’d been watching a ton of old school X-Files around the time that we were writing the album, and I was just like, man, she’s so fascinating. She’s just so deadpan, and the only voice of reason amongst these hard-science men in these fields of law enforcement and science." Watch below. Lost Time is out today via Hardly Art. [Spin]

  • Local duo Crater share a stunning new clip today for the track "Habits Die Slow" off their debut album, Talk to Me so I Can Fall Asleep. Filmed in the Olympic Peninsula with director Bobby McHugh, the video shows band members Ceci Gomez and Kessiah Gordon paying tribute to Moonassi, an illustrated series by Korean artist Daehyun Kim. "While the lyrics center around the demise of a romantic relationship, the video aims to deconstruct these boundaries a bit; the characters might be strangers, friends, foes, or lovers, all of whom feel simultaneously close and distant to one another," the band explained, via a press release. "While the song alone paints a picture that is less hopeful for the relationship, the visual story doesn’t quite resolve in the same way. There is either rebirth, or the acceptance of the true end. However you want to look at it, really." [Impose]

  • UK production duo Snakehips team up with west coast rapper Anderson .Paak for the track "Money on Me." Check out the soulful dance collaboration below. The track will appear on the forthcoming EP All My Friends, out April 15th via Sony. [Pitchfork]

  • Alt-rock nerds Weezer stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night in support of their new one, Weezer (aka The White Album), out today. Watch them perform the single "King of the World" with frontman Rivers Cuomo dressed as The King himself, Elvis Presley. Weezer will reign over Marymoor Park this summer with a concert on Friday, July 29th. [Under the Radar]
