  • Everyone's favorite gap-toothed songwriter shares a demo from the Mac DeMarco vaults: check out a four-track version of "Rollin Like A Dummy," which dates back to his 2012 album 2. Via Reddit, he says, "Everybody’s always asking for a recording of this song, so I’m finally getting around to it. It’s a 4 track version I did when I was demoing for 2, I did a final version but it never made it out of tape land and onto the computer, maybe I’ll find it someday... Also, new music soon, I just had penis enlargement surgery so my balance is all out of whack and I can’t play my drums properly right now, but soon enough I’ll get used to this new piece. Sincerely, Jar Jar Binks" Thanks, Jar Jar! [Stereogum]

  • DeMarco's not the only one digging in the archives: Ryan Adams will be releasing a deluxe reissue of his 2000 debut solo album Heartbreaker. This remastered version will also include outtakes and demos, a DVD of unreleased footage of Adams' full solo acoustic show at New York's Mercury Lounge in October 2000. Check out this outtake from the album, "Locked Away." Heartbreaker breaks again on May 6th via Pax-Am. [Pitchfork]

  • It's a little shaky, but this Father John Misty cover needs to be heard. Last night in Chicago, the talented tambourine player took on his favorite love song... "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails. "It’s a little sappy," he tells the crowd. Hear what he wants to do to honeybear below: [Consequence of Sound]

  • And speaking of covers, Flaming Lips offer up a rendition of David Bowie's "Space Oddity." It's a mostly faithful rendition until liftoff... listen for yourself below: [Spin]
