Now on their seventh album, The Thermals show no sign of fading away, despite the title of their latest We Disappear, out now on Saddle Creek. With beloved producer Chris Walla behind the boards for the fourth time, the Portland punk trio continue to incite riots with their anthemic, fist-pumping songs. Here in the KEXP studios, the band was joined by Jessica Boudreaux from Summer Cannibals, allowing frontman Hutch Harris to drop the guitar for half the set - a vulnerable, unadorned stance he's been trying for the past year and a half as a stand-up comedian.
