Perera Elsewhere is the solo alias of Sasha Perera, a London-born, Berlin-based Sri Lankan singer/songwriter/producer that also fronts the futuristic electronic/pop trio Jahcoozi. Debuting the Perera Elsewhere moniker in 2013 with an EP of adventurous, sophisticated, and modernized trip-hop for Los Angeles' Friends of Friends, the label is now gearing up to release her sophomore album, All Of This, in May 2017. Her exclusive guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World is a dark, brooding, and captivating mix that features a few sneak peeks at her forthcoming album, while also placing a spotlight on woozy downtempo jams, experimental pop ballads, and immersive leftfield beats, that all melds together into an eerie and fascinating sonic brew.
