Seasonal Affective... Dance Party? This weekend, Friday, January 27th and Saturday the 28th, it's the 4th Annual Timbrrr! Winter Music Festival, a welcome break from the dreary January days. This year's line-up punches winter in the face with The Thermals, Lucy Dacus, Wimps, The Dip, Crater, and more on the bill. Plus, it's a fun excuse to drive out to Leavenworth, a charming Bavarian-style village just a few hours from the hustle-and-bustle of Seattle.
As usual, you can score discounted single day lift tickets at Stevens Pass Mountain Resort, or check out the Stevens Pass Nordic Center Trails, which will be FREE on Saturday with ski rental discounts for festival goers. If that sounds too hardcore, you can also participate in Leisure Games like ladderball and corn-hole in the 21+ Leavenworth Festhalle. (As a bonus, portions of hot toddy and beer proceeds from Leisure Games will be donated to help with wildfire relief in Leavenworth and the surrounding areas.) Free, all-ages performances will happen in the Munchen Haus and Icicle Brewing.
