SassyBlack has always referred to herself as a "space aged singer," so it couldn't be more perfect that this Thursday, February 2nd, she'll be performing Live at the Laser Dome in Pacific Science Center, right here on the Seattle Center campus. West Seattle artist Taylar Elizza Beth opens the show with a set of her own unique hip-hop.
As half of Seattle's THEESatisfaction, SassyBlack (real name: Catherine Harris-White) brought an old-fashioned soul vibe to the group's cosmic chillwaves, a sound she continues on her solo project. Her debut full-length No More Weak Dates was self-released last summer. As they perform, take in the brand new state-of-the-art laser system installed at the Pacific Science Center. Not only does the Laser Fantasy Rainbow FX sound like a SassyBlack song title, but the actual system itself features a tightly columned laser beam, fantastic color balance, and solid state reliability. The nine Rainbow FX laser projectors will fill the dome with 23 watts of RGB laser light, compared to the 6 watts from the previous system.
Doors for this all ages event are at 8:00 PM, with performances kicking off at 8:30 PM. Tickets are available online here.
