  • Car Seat Headrest have unveiled a (sort of) new song today, "Beach Life-In-Death." The 13-minute single is actually an updated version of a song of the same name off of Car Seat Headrest's 2011 Bandcamp album Twin Fantasy. The previous version was a fan-favorite and the new one is a sprawling epic that should leave fans happy. No word on whether the single is indicative of a forthcoming album. Car Seat Headrest's last album was 2016's Teens of Denial. [ Under the Radar ] Will Toledo's
  • released her fantastic 10th studio album Utopia a few weeks ago and today she's released two remixes of the standout track "Blissing Me." One comes from producer serpentwithfeet and the other is a "Harp Version" done by Björk herself. Last week Björk released the gorgeous "Blissing Me" video. Utopia is out now on One Little Indian. [ Pitchfork ] Björk
  • King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard set a rather lofty goal this year of releasing five studio albums in 2017 and it looks like they just might do it. They've already given us four albums: Flying Microtonal Banana, Murder of the Universe, Sketches of Brunswick East, and Polygondwanaland. Today they've shared two songs that will be released on the fifth album, "Beginners Luck" and "All is Known." King Gizzard’s Stu Mackenzie says the fifth album is "definitely less ‘themed’ like the other four have been." The album title has not yet been announced. [ Consequence of Sound ] Australian psych-rock band

  • Bully released their sophomore album Losing earlier this fall and today they've shared a video for the single "Running." Directed by Alan Del Rio Ortiz, the video is designed to look and feel like a '90s music video, with grainy clips interspersed between the band playing in someone's yard in suburbia. Catch Bully in Seattle on Wednesday, February 28 at Neumos. Losing is out now on Sub Pop. [ SPIN ] Nashville band
  • is ending 2017 on a very high note. The R&B singer is the most nominated female artist at the 2018 Grammy's for her debut album Ctrl and she played the historic Saturday Night Live stage this weekend, performing "Love Galore" and "The Weekend." Last night she stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to play a special, stripped down version of "Supermodel" while her parents watch from the audience. Ctrl is out now on TDE. [ Noisey ] SZA
  • (the musical alias of Erika M. Anderson) put out her third album Exile In The Outer Ring back in August but the artist isn't sitting on her laurels. Today she's announced that she'll be releasing an EP of outtakes called Outtakes From Exile and has shared a track called "'MopTops (Twist While The World Stops)." Anderson says of the track: "I made this song two years ago with my friend Severiano Martinez who also worked on ‘Amnesia Haze’ and ‘Fire Water Air LSD'...The lyrics were improvised, I was thinking about the ’50s and ’60s living under the constant threat of nuclear war… People doing the twist in a red light nuclear fallout bomb blast, about the haircuts from then, ‘mop tops.’ But now we have these two crazy world leaders with crazy hideous hair threatening to blow each other up!" The Outtakes From Exile EP is out February 2 on City Slang. [ Stereogum ] EMA
