  • The National have shared a couple news items today. The first is a new video for the title track from their latest album Sleep Well Beast. The clip is directed by artist Casey Reas, who also did the videos for "Day I Die," "Guilty Party," "Carin at the Liquor Store," and "The System Only Dreams in Total Darkness," with assistance from Graham MacIndoe. The second piece of news is that the band will be throwing a festival in their hometown of Cincinnati called Homecoming in Association with MusicNOW. The festival will see a lineup of over 20 artists curated by the National playing on two stages in Smale Park and other venues throughout the city on April 28 and 29. [ Paste ]
  • Future Islands have unveiled a video for the song "Beauty of the Road" off of this year's The Far Field. Fittingly, the video is made up of live footage of the band performing while on tour. Director Jay Buim captures the enigmatic band incredibly well and makes us incredibly excited for the next time they roll through Seattle. The Far Field was released in April via 4AD. • Hundred Waters released their latest full length Communicating back in September and today they've shared a video for "Wave to Anchor," the lead single and effervescent standout track from the album. Directed by Allie Avital, the video features frontwoman Nicole Miglis in a small Bulgarian town, her looking flawless and dressed to the nines, while locals are dressed in more traditional garb and dancing around the quiant town. Communicating is out now on OWSLA. [ Stereogum ]
  • Purling Hiss are releasing a new EP called Breeze and ahead of its release have shared the single "My Dreams." The fuzzy, distorted song warps and warbles along in an appropriately breezy way. Breeze, which is only available to purchase via Bandcamp, is the first new music since last year's full-length High Bias. [ SPIN ] Psychedelic Philadelphia band
