A Curated Music and Beer Experience at KEXP’s New Home at Seattle Center
KEXP is excited to host the Masonry’s Third Annual Farmhouse Beer Festival. Join us Saturday, February 25th in the KEXP Gathering Space at Seattle Center for a celebration of beer and music showcasing some of the best farmhouse ales from Washington, across the United States, and abroad. This is a unique opportunity to sample many of these rare brews in Seattle in the company of the brewers who make them, all while enjoying live sets by KEXP’s world class musical curators including DJ Reeves and DJ Larry Rose. Some of these beers rarely leave the taproom making this a “can’t miss” event for music and beer lovers alike.
La Marzocco, the Café in the KEXP Gathering Space, will be open during the event for your caffeine fix, and the Light in the Attic Record Store will be open for your record browsing and buying pleasure.

What’s a “Farmhouse Ale”?
Farmhouse Ales are traditionally brewed in the winter, to be consumed throughout the summer months. Not long ago this method was close to extinction, but in recent years there has been a massive revival —especially in the US. This is a very complex brewing style; many of the offerings are very fruity in aroma and flavor. Look for earthy yeast tones, mild to moderate tartness, lots of spice, and medium bitterness. They tend to be semi-dry and many have only a touch of sweetness. Average alcohol by volume (abv) range: 5.0-8.0%
Meet The Masonry:
Open since August 2013, The Masonry is a small bar located in the Uptown neighborhood of Seattle. We cook all food, from our Neapolitan-style pizzas to our spicy meatballs, in a wood-burning oven. Come chat with our bartenders about our extensive beer list, watch our chefs at work, and listen to some samples from our record collection. Featuring 14 beer taps, 2 cider taps, 5 wine taps and a seasonal, rotating lunch and dinner menu.
R-Pal is the DJ alias of Seattle's Rachel Kramer. Active on the local DJ scene since first getting behind the decks in 2013, Rachel currently runs a cassette mixtape series called Technodad alongside KEXP's own DJ Sharlese and is a member of Seattle's TUF, a female/non-binary/trans collective based…
