  • Midday Show faves Spoon have shared another new track from their forthcoming full-length Hot Thoughts. Check out the track "Can I Sit Next to You" below, via a creepy video directed by Marcel Dzama. And for more creepiness, the song might conjure up some deja vu as they apparently launched a subliminal campaign a few months ago, playing the then-unnamed track as boarding music on American Airlines flights. Hot Thoughts is out March 17th via Matador. [ Pitchfork ]

  • Reunited shoegaze legends Ride have returned with their first new music in twenty years! Stream the single "Charm Assault" below. Co-frontman Andy Bell explained the track in a press release calling the track "a pretty straightforward expression of frustration and disgust at the people who currently run our country. The tour in 2015 was a good way of reminding us what we were good at in the first place and ‘Charm Assault’ feels like a natural continuation from our peak. When we started writing together again we tried to imagine we’d kept on making music all this time, and this was just the latest one." The song will appear on the band's as-of-now untitled album out this summer via Wichita Recordings. [ Consequence of Sound ]

  • The latest from Brooklyn-based Sudanese artist Sinkane (real name: Ahmed Gallab) is already really danceable, but now German new wave/disco producer Roosevelt has given his spin to the track "Telephone," stretching it out to a nearly nine minute funky synthpop moment. Listen below. Sinkane will be LIVE on KEXP Tuesday, February 28th at Noon, and playing later that night at The Crocodile. [ Stereogum ]

  • Next month, Conor Oberst releases Salutations, a companion LP to last year's solo acoustic album Ruminations. The album will feature full-band versions of all of Ruminations' ten tracks, plus seven new songs. Check out the track "Till St. Dymphna Kicks Us Out" via a video below, directed by Greg Marinaccio. Salutations will be in stores March 17th via Nonesuch. [ Under the Radar ]
