  • Grammy Award-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar has shared the fourth installment in the “The Heart” series, which you can stream below. ("The Heart Part 1" appeared on 2010s K. Dot Drops project, "The Heart Part 2" is on Lamar's Overly Dedicated mixtape, and "The Heart Part 3" was released as a stand-alone single back in 2012.) In the lyrics, Lamar raps, "Y’all got till April 7 to get y’all shit together," which fans are hoping means a new album. Lamar also happens to be headlining Coachella in April, hmmm. Stay tuned. • It's not uncommon for bands to share lyric videos these days, but Baltimore-based trio Future Islands give that a twist for the single "Cave." Director Jay Buim delivers a beautiful, stark black-and-white clip with the words delivered in sign language by Jonathan Lamberton, New York City mayor Bill De Blasio's American sign language interpreter. The track will appear on the band's forthcoming full-length The Far Field, out April 7th via 4AD. (You can get it digitally, on 180gm white and standard black LP, CD, cassette formats, and as a unique, first-of-its-kind miniature LP.) [ Spin ]

  • Earlier this month, we shared a thrilling video from The New Pornographers for the track "High Ticket Attractions," off their upcoming release, Whiteout Conditions. Today, we've got a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the clip. In an interview, director Dan Hunting notes, "I have always wanted to wreck things in music videos, I just never thought I would get a chance to destroy an entire high school!" Whiteout Conditions will be out April 7th on their own label Collected Works Records (in partnership with Concord), and the band play Saturday, April 15th at the Moore Theatre. [ Under the Radar ]
