Sub Pop Records isn't the only Seattle rock institution turning 30 this year; grunge godfathers Mudhoney also celebrate three decades of noise. As part of KEXP's Sub Pop 30 celebration, Mudhoney was spotlighted in this special Turntable Session in our Gathering Space on Thursday, August 9th. With Nils Bernstein (Sub Pop's publicist at the time) and Ed Fotheringham (illustrator; former member of the Thrown Ups, and former member of... Mudhoney?) as moderators, you can be sure this was a fun, spirited evening of memories.

With Mudhoney releasing their tenth album last week (Digital Garbage, out via Sub Pop, natch), we wanted to take a minute to honor their humble beginnings. Hear them tell the story below, and check out some photos from the event.
