Blue Hawaii is the songwriting, production, and DJ project of Canadian musicians Raphaelle ‘Ra’ Standell (also a member of Braids) and Alexander ‘Agor’ Kerby. Quietly emerging on the music scene in 2010 with their debut EP Blooming Summer, Blue Hawaii's sound has steadily grown over the past 8 years and developed into a unique fusion of dreamy electro-pop with magnetic rhythms, their productions often finding inspiration in house, disco, and techno. Their debut album Untogether arrived in 2013, and last year they released their sophomore LP Tenderness, both albums frequently exploring the meaning of closeness and intimacy within relationships in our highly connected digital world.
