UK shoegaze legends My Bloody Valentine have announced that they’ll be taking the show on the road for their first U.S. tour since 2013. It’s a short tour, with just seven dates, but they kick it off in Seattle at the Paramount Theatre on Tuesday, July 17. The band has recently been talking about plans to release two EPs, one in the summer and another next spring. Their last full-length was 2013’s m b v. [ Consequence of Sound ]

The Breeders recently returned with their first studio album in a decade, All Nerve, and now the beloved band is bringing us more goodies with a number of reissues. The band’s long-time label 4AD has announced they will reissue the first four Breeders studio albums on vinyl next month. That includes 1990’s Pod, 1993’s Last Splash, 2002’s Title TK, and 2008’s Mountain Battles. It’s the first time that Pod and Splash have been released on vinyl in the U.S. by 4AD. In an interesting turn of events, Parquet Courts stopped by The Ellen Show to play a song Ellen DeGeneres apparently “loves very much”: the album’s title track “Wide Awake.” It was an incredibly fun performance and the band brought their all with an extended percussion section and a bunch of people in the back that seemed to be there solely to yell the words “wide awake!” along with the band. Wide Awake! is the band's fifth album and the follow-up to 2016's Human Performance. Danger Mouse produced Wide Awake!, which will drop May 18 via Rough Trade. [ Stereogum ]

Dev Hynes has announced a Blood Orange North American tour for this fall. The tour kicks off in September, with a date in Seattle on Saturday, September 15 at the Moore Theatre. Recently, Hynes has shared two new songs, “Christopher & 6th” and “June 12th” that are said to be on the follow-up studio album to 2016’s Freetown Sound. Tickets for Blood Orange’s tour go on sale this Friday, April 27. [ Under the Radar ]
