Run the Jewels took the Colbert stage last night to remind the world of the amazing performers they are. The duo performed the highly-personal and poignant “Thursday in the Danger Room,” about friends who died too soon, off of last year’s RTJ 3. Scottish ‘90s alt-rock band Teenage Fanclub have announced that they’re remastering and reissuing five of their Creation Records-era albums on vinyl. That includes 1991’s Bandwagonesque, 1993’s Thirteen, 1995’s Grand Prix, 1997’s Songs From Northern Britain, and 2000’s Howdy!. Remastering took place at Abbey Road studios in London, with all five albums made on 180g heavyweight vinyl. Each LP will come with a bonus 7" single containing rarities, B-sides, and previously unreleased tracks selected by the band, available only with the initial pressings. The band will also play a series of live shows in the UK this fall. All five records will be released August 10. [ Pitchfork ]

Experimental electronic producer Daniel Lopatin has revealed a new Oneohtrix Point Never single that features backing vocals from Anohni. Titled “Black Snow,” the song is taken from his upcoming album Age Of and comes with a music video, directed by Lopatin himself. Lopatin also provided more details behind the album, saying: “After Garden Of Delete, I found myself working on collabs with other artists a lot. That became my life. So I was thinking a lot about music labor in the antiquated sense; the state or church-appointed artist. It was refreshing and funny to let that energy into my solo work, which suddenly seemed so constrained and private to me. Nothing felt more wrong than making a strictly conceptual album. It needed to be a record of little air-conditioned nightmares that reflected my life as it was.” Other special guests features on the album include James Blake, Prurient, and Kelsey Lu. Age Of is out June 1 via Warp and follows 2016’s Garden of Delete. [ Stereogum ]

Lindsey Jordan is on the verge of releasing her debut Snail Mail record, Lush. It was announced last month alongside the release of the lead single, “Pristine.” Today, the young musician has shared the second single, “Heat Wave,” that reminisces on a lost relationship while basking in the heat of a summer day. The song comes with a video directed by Brandon Herman that sees Jordan take the ice rink to square off against a team of men for a game of ice hockey. Lush is out June 8 via Matador. Jordan is embarking on an extensive worldwide tour, with a stop in Seattle on Saturday, June 23 at the Crocodile. [ Under the Radar ]
