Long-running Scottish chamber pop band Belle and Sebastian have announced a floating festival called The Boaty Weekender for next summer, August 8-12, 2019. The cruise will set sale from Barcelona to Sardinia and back again. The lineup includes Camera Obscura, who are making their return to performing live for the first time since the 2015 death of the band's Carey Lander from cancer, Tracyanne & Danny (Camera Obscura's Tracyanne Campbell’s side-project), Mogwai, Django Django, Alvvays, The Buzzcocks, Japanese Breakfast, HINDS, Kelly Lee Owens, Nilüfer Yanya, Honeyblood, and Whyte Horses, with more to be announced. Each band will perform multiple times across five stages.

Belle and Sebastian recently released three interconnected EPs, all titled How to Solve Your Human Problems.
