Yesterday, ahead of Travis Scott’s guest appearance during Maroon 5’s Super Bowl half-time show, James Blake dropped a video for the Scott-featuring Assume Form track “Mile High.” Directed by Nabil Elderkin, the clip sees Blake and Scott meet up in a cafe, where Blake gets hypnotized Get Out-style by stirring a cup of tea. The duo enters a dark underworld and drifts off into the abyss.
Blake released his feature-heavy fourth studio album Assume Form last month via Polydor Records, following 2016’s The Colour In Anything. “Mile High” also features production from Metro Boomin. Blake will make a stop in Seattle on his North American tour on Sunday, March 10 to play the Moore Theatre.
Watch the video for “Mile High” as well as Blake’s 2013 KEXP in-studio performance below.
The song comes from Blake's fifth studio album, Assume Form, out tomorrow, January 18th.
Following last week’s French Amazon leak, James Blake has done some teasing of his own for forthcoming album Assume Form.
A listing appeared this week on French Amazon.
