Singer-songwriter, visual artist and poet Devendra Banhart has announced a North American tour set for this fall. Kicking off October 15 in Ventura, CA, the tour spans 23 over nearly three months. He’ll make a stop in Seattle on Saturday, Oct. 19 to play the Moore Theatre. Through PLUS1, Banhart will be donating $1 from every ticket sold to World Central Kitchen, a not-for-profit non-governmental organization devoted to providing meals in the wake of natural disasters.
Banhart hasn’t released a new album since 2016’s Ape In Pink Marble but he’s kept himself busy this year releasing other forms of art such as a compilation album of demos from various musicians including Helado Negro, Arthur Russell, King Tuff, and Vashti Bunyan titled Fragments du Monde Flottant, a book of ink drawings titled Vanishing Wave, and his debut book of poetry, Weeping Gang, Bliss Void, Yab Yum.
