Welcome to Review Revue, where every Thursday I dig through the KEXP stacks to share DJ reviews and comments written on the covers of LPs (and occasionally CDs) in the ’80s and ’90s, when the station was called KCMU, the DJs were volunteers, and people shared their opinions on little white labels instead of the internet.
Okay, I will admit the comments on this record are not the most substantive we've had here over the years, but I just had to take this moment to celebrate Ephrata, Washington's Moral Crux. Not only does this, their third album, totally kick ass, but they are still going at it, more than three decades later — or at least, they have a semi-active Facebook page and have played out in the past few years. Here's hoping they haven't made their last trip across the Cascades, and we get another chance to see Moral Crux in Seattle before too long.

"A pretty good effort. A hardcore attitude, tho the music isn't quite so abrasive. Left-humanistic values in lyrics. Not unique, but sounds pretty good + their hearts are in the right place."
