DJ Suspence is the alias of Seattle's own Spencer Manio, a renowned DJ, producer, and curator who has blessed countless parties behind the decks with his exquisite taste, expansive crates, and joyful mixing style. As an in-demand DJ throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, he set the tone opening up local shows for everyone from Grandmaster Flash to Death Cab For Cutie, and his diverse taste and infectious energy also shined bright as a founding member of beloved local trio The Saturday Knights.
DJ Suspence's Midnight In A Perfect World mix is conceptually set-up like an actual cassette mixtape featuring 2 distinctive sides. The A side is titled 1990 North Seattle House Party and it's an homage to the house party jams he used to DJ out regularly. The B side is titled 2020 South Seattle Couch Party and it serves as a reflection of his more recent at-home-listening favorites. While he's spun at hundreds of parties, this is his first ever recorded DJ mix.
