Sea Lemon is the alias of rising Seattle-based musician Natalie Lew, creator of music she cheekily bills as "Costco Cocteau Twins" in a nod to her Pacific Northwest roots and the influential 4AD aesthetic she grew up loving. Quietly making her debut in May 2022 with the Close Up EP, her recent second EP titled Stop At Nothing came out on Luminelle Recordings and has quickly become a favorite amongst KEXP DJs with its confident fusion of fuzzy dream-pop and soaring shoegaze.
Full of gauzy dream-pop gems and soaring shoegaze jams, Sea Lemon perfectly describes her mix with the three words "wistful, airy, and glistening," She also shares this insight into her Midnight in a Perfect World DJ set: "Right now I’m really inspired by music that sounds both lightweight and heavy all at once, which this mix represents to me — sounds and lyrics that are both incredibly bright and airy, while maintaining a deep sense of longing and darkness."
