90.TEEN

KEXP is excited to present a show programmed and produced by teens. Under the guidance and direction of KEXP DJs, 90.TEEN creates interest and opportunity for youth in radio and media arts while presenting the best in music that our community’s youth are listening to right now. 90.TEEN provides a voice for Seattle youth, in a fun educational format.

90.TEEN is programmed by the participants in the KEXP Youth Radio program. The goal of this program is to teach young people confidence skills, help them develop career goals, encourage positive thinking, practice curation skills, gain technical and programmatic knowledge, and receive training on the art of broadcast DJing.

Victoria Kee

Bio: I’ve lived in Federal Way, Washington for the majority of my life. I’m a student at Highline College through the Running Start Program. I’ve been passionate about music for as long as I can remember, but I started engaging in it more actively in middle school. I’ve been playing electric guitar for three years now and recently started learning the drums. I love music from all different types of genres but my favorites are alternative and rock. Some of my other hobbies include reading, singing, art, and playing tennis.

Solar Pulse

Bio: Sara is on the road to becoming an accomplished tenor saxophone and flute player with multi-colored hairstyles. Currently stationed at Bellevue High School, she’s fond of a wide variety of music including jazz, techno-punk, and indie. She combines her love of poetry and public speaking with music, and is passionate about educating others surrounding major female artists and their impact. “Intelligence is the best cleaner.”

REDSORARE

Bio: Rediet is a vibrant embodiment of music. From her earliest memories, her days have pulsated with the energy of the melodies that resonate within her. Yet, music is merely one of the many forces that shape her identity. Activism and art are equally vital, intertwining to cultivate a profound sense of self. With an unyielding commitment to merging creativity with purpose, she stands at the intersection of expression and advocacy. Born and raised in Ethiopia until the age of seven, Rediet was steeped in the rich, soulful sounds of Ethiopian jazz, which laid the foundation for her eclectic musical journey. As she expanded her journey, she embraced a diverse array of genres—Afro-punk, tribal beats, techno, soul, house, and beyond. Each rhythm fuels her creative spirit, igniting a fierce passion to weave her cultural heritage into the tapestry of sound she shares with the world. Through music, activism, and art, Rediet is unwavering in her dedication to building bridges—connecting people, cultures, and spaces that champion authentic representation and solidarity.

Finn

Bio: Finn Leong is in the class of 2026 at Lincoln high school in Seattle. He can be a friendly face to anyone, with hobbies ranging from collecting Jordans to playing Pokemon cards. As a native Seattleite he wants everyone to know about the beautiful city’s lesser-known music scene, which spans all sorts of genres. He hopes to be a member of 90.TEEN that the city will remember, and make a lot of people’s car rides a little more fun while he’s at it!

emerald echo

Bio: I grew up in Seattle on many of the songs from my sets. I fell in love with 80s 90s rock on my Walkman and expanded from there. I have been exposed to all different types of music since before I could talk and I love the impact it has on the community. My favorite genre currently is house and 90s hip hop/ rap but you can never forget the classics. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to share my favorites with listeners like you and I hope you like my show :)

DJ Elodie Sky

Bio: Coming to KEXP all the way from Olympia, DJ Elodie Sky, a junior at Oly High! Originally from Austin Texas, Elodie (elle uh dee) and her family have been avid listeners of KEXP since moving to the PNW. Music is a near constant part of her life and a huge part of her being. She believes that music is connection, and a beautiful way to bring people together. That’s what she loves about KEXP! It’s listening, together. Elodie is huge on playlists and she loves discovering and sharing music with her friends: psychedelic, shoegaze, and electronic are her go to genres, but she enjoys a good amount of indie rock, 90’s hip hop, jazz, 80’s pop and darkwave, EBM, funk, reggae… pretty much every genre under the sun she has some version she likes, she doesn’t discriminate. Elodie is so grateful to be a part of the 90.TEEN program and is so excited to discover and share more music!

DJ Colette

Bio: Colette is a student at Ballard High School who loves all types of music. She enjoys playing piano, creating art and trying new food. She’s looking forward to sharing her favorite songs to anyone listening. Colette is passionate about music and curating playlists is one of her favorite things to do along with recommending songs to others. She is an avid concert-goer and is always on the lookout for new shows in Seattle!

Audrey Short

Bio: Audrey Short is a lifelong resident of Washington and a current senior at Issaquah High School. As a part-time community college student, she enjoys stretching her legs in Seattle as much as she can, from running the gauntlet of skate parks to hunting down free concerts with friends. An avid fan and follower of KEXP for as long as she can remember, she’s excited to bring her appreciation of experimental music to 90.TEEN. She has a particular interest in instrumentalists as a cellist herself, especially in its intersections with electronic instruments. When she’s off the clock, find her at her part-time job in downtown Issaquah, engaged in activist organizations, or simply taking in the view from someplace new.
