KEXP's weekly guest DJ mix show is a multi-genre program featuring eclectic sets by a rotating cast of local, national, and international DJs and artists. Every late Sunday night at midnight, a guest DJ outside of KEXP's on-air talent will take you on an hour-long journey through their record collection to showcase their unique sonic vision of a Midnight In A Perfect World.

Jabu are a Bristol, UK-based trio composed of Jasmine Butt, Alex Rendall, and Amos Childs. Together they create nocturnal, intimate, and atmospheric music influenced by R&B, shoegaze, dream-pop, dub, ambient, and other experimental styles. Their distinctive sound is on full display on their third full-length album A Soft and Gatherable Star that came out in October 2024 on their own label, do you have peace?.
Baalti is a San Francisco-based DJ/producer duo currently making waves on the underground club scene with their intoxicating dancefloor rhythms infused with South Asian sounds and flavors that's rooted in their Indian identities. Lapgan is a Chicago-based Indian-American producer who's been making top-shelf beats since emerging onto the scene in 2019 and he recently teamed up with NYC rapper Heems for the stellar collaborative album LAFANDAR that was released in February 2024. Baalti and Lapgan are currently gearing up to release their own collaborative album in early 2025.
Neue Grafik is a Paris-born, London-based DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who's a versatile solo artist and also the leader of the Neue Grafik Ensemble. With releases on labels such as Rhythm Section International, 22a, CoOp Presents and Wolf Music, Neue Grafik's eclectic sound is a vibrant hybrid of jazz, house, and hip-hop. Late last year he dropped Dalston Tape Vol. 1, a fast-moving 15-track beat tape that found Fred returning to his beatmaking roots.
Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith is a classically-trained American composer, performer, modular synthesist, and producer who grew up on Orcas Island in the Pacific Northwest and currently lives in Los Angeles. Ever since emerging in 2013 with her debut album Tides: Music for Meditation and Yoga, Kaitlyn's exploratory, expansive, Buchla-driven electronic music has found homes on premier labels such as Western Vinyl, RVNG Intl., Ghostly International, and her own multidisciplinary project/label, Touchtheplants. She recently teamed up with Hot Chip founding member Joe Goddard for the playful collaborative EP Neptunes that was released on Domino's Smugglers Way imprint in November 2024.
