Hünter is a Seattle-based artist who specializes in leftfield electronic music, tapping heavily into subgenres like UK Bass, IDM, ambient, and broken-beat techno. He was raised on a sailboat in industrial Ballard and spent much of his weekends as a child on the outskirts of Vancouver, BC. This upbringing greatly inspired his style of music, as he intertwines atmospheric, emotional, and warm sounds with harsher rhythms and beat structures. While his DJ history dates over 10 years, as of late he is a resident of Routine Seattle and he also hosts the radio show Wërda on Bristol's online radio platform NOODS. In addition to his busy DJ schedule, Hünter released the full-length album Cypress back in October on the fledgling Seattle-based label Ommaya Records.
Born and raised in San Francisco and currently based in Los Angeles, Lara Sarkissian is a multifaceted artist who's the co-founder of the label and event series CLUB CHAI, a solo artist with past releases on labels such as Tresor and Knekelhuis, and an adventurous DJ with a bi-monthly residency on NTS Radio. Her unique approach to composition stems from her filmmaking and video editing work which has garnered exhibitions at Berlin's Gropius Bau, Montréal's Musée d'art contemporain, and the Music Center Los Angeles, among other prestigious institutions. She recently released her debut full-length album Remnants on her own newly-launched label btwn Earth+Sky. Never shy to expose her deep connection with her heritage, the album is an ornate patchwork of ancient and modern sonic shapes that uses electronic music to reformulate Armenian traditions and memories.
Sparklmami is a Texas-raised, Chicago-based multidisciplinary artist of Mexican and Indian heritage who transcends mediums to build a world untethered to conventional structures. Having grown up singing in church, Sparklmami uses instinctual improvisation reminiscent of Brazilian jazz, experimental soul, Mexican bolero, and funk to express the sentient nature of being. This year she's released two breakout singles in anticipation of her debut album In This Body that's due to arrive in 2025. The album is composed of kaleidoscopic vignettes that tap into her confessional subconscious as Sparklmami explores how our perception of the past shapes our present identity.
La Mala Noche is a Seattle-based artist who's been DJ'ing for over a decade and has emerged as an integral figure in championing Latin music on the local club scene. Driven by a passion for advancing Latin Club culture in the Pacific Northwest, La Mala Noche and her mentor Papito Peace took the initiative to launch their popular party, Sazón Seattle, in late 2023. This environment showcases emerging talent in Global Dance Music, particularly inviting artists with Latin and Hispanic identities, while providing a space for music lovers to connect, celebrate, learn, and create unforgettable memories together.
Curses is the alias of Luca Venezia, a Berlin-via-NYC musician and DJ who's been a steady presence on the international electronic/club scene for nearly two decades. Originally emerging in the late 2000s as Curses! with hotly-tipped releases on underground labels Marble, Let's Play House, Throne of Blood, and more, his sound as Curses has shifted towards a magnetic 80s-influenced dark wave aesthetic that brews together synth-pop, new wave, disco, goth, post-punk, and EBM into dark dancefloor gems. He champions this sound through his acclaimed vinyl compilation series and party New Wave Acid Punx, and it's also on full display on his excellent full-length album Another Heaven that came out this past October via Italians Do It Better Records and Ombra International Records.
